The Rotation Sensor « DDR » from Iteca Socadei is a heavy-duty and dustproof solution. It controls the rotation of any rotating device such as conveyor belt, screw conveyor, bucket elevator. This solution is the best alternative to the existing solutions composed of a rotating steel target turning in front of a proximity switch. These solutions have several drawbacks: they can be dangerous for operators, proximity switches can be damaged and broken by the rotating steel target, dust can build up onto the proximity switch that becomes blind and gives consequently false information that stops the conveyor.
